About

I am a student at the University of Michigan!  I am currently in limbo between my sophomore and junior year so I’m not really sure what to call myself at the moment, I’ll figure it out eventuallySchool is back in session, so I’m officially a Junior!

Good Golly, Miss Molly, I’m a Senior – where has the time gone?

I just graduated from the University of Michigan, and after four short years, I’m ready to take on this big old world (or at least, I think that I am).  I will be spending the summer working as a Program Director at Black River Farm and Ranch, which means that my days will be consumed with caring for horses, campers, barn chores, sing-along-songs, night activities and camp fires.  Don’t worry though, I’ll find some time to write somewhere in the midst of all the commotion.

I have two passions in life: Writing and Horses, so for this blog I thought to myself, why not mix them together?  I am super excited to see how this blog is going to grow and evolve. (sidenote: as an english major, I really do love to write poetry, but because it’s not all horses, you can find it over here on this blog…)

This blog is called Equine101 for a reason, think of it as a beginners guide to all things equine!  It is going to be a space for horse lovers to gather and for those who don’t know much about horses at all to learn something new.  So please, look around, learn and if you have questions about anything feel free to ask me!

Here are three things you really need to know about me:

1. These are my favorite boots:

2. This is what I wish I could be doing every day:

3. And oh yeah, did I mention that I love animals (and I’d like to believe they love me too…):
